Tai Chi for Fibromyalgia / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
If you wanted to practice a gentle exercise for fibromyalgia symptoms (or chronic fatigue syndrome), tai chi can be very useful.
Tai Chi Chuan is a martial art that involves a series of gentle physical movements along
with breathing techniques to achieve a meditative state. Tai Chi Chuan can help one relieve
stress, increase circulation, and increase one's energy. Rather than taking a tai chi class,
it's best to buy a tai chi video so that you can pace yourself. This way you never have to worry about
being rushed by an instructor to complete a series of tai chi movements.

Tai Chi for Better Health 01/28/08

I am a Tai Chi master instructor and I have fibromyalgia. This is one of the best therapies that I have found. I do not like taking pain medication at all. So I am always looking for natural alternative therapies and this one is a good one for me.

Good and necessary treatment 09/11/06

Tai chi helps to fight fibromialgia symptoms in your body, your mind and your emotions, decreasing pain and pain about the constant pain. By streching your muscles and inter bones spaces, it avoids immobility caused by inflammatory processes provocked by pain and helps to eliminate uric and lactic acids which adhere to your muscles. Boosting physical equilibrium and coordination, it helps to clear your mind, emotions and decisions. Tai chi (meditation in movement) helps relax and fights psychological pain, you become more conscious about your body and you face gently the pain in order to take care about it. However, I do NOT recommend tai chi videos, as long as only your professor wil be able to guide you in order to avoid false movements which can harm you and will be able to guide you through the path of relaxation accordingly to your own capabilities. Videos are to be avoided.
