Ketamine is the only medication that has ever completely dissolved the pain from fibromyalgia. However, the pain relief only lasts for 1-2 hours after administration. Plus, it makes you dizzy and unable to drive or work. In my opinion, it is much more effective as an antidepressant than a pain reliever, since the antidepressant effect is immediate and lasts anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks.
