FMS with Hypothyroidism 06/28/07

One of the ways my doctor came up with the FMS diagnosis was the diagnosis of Hypothyroidism. A lot of Fibromites have HyPO or HyPER thyroidism, meaning that you either gain weight with HyPOthyroidism or lose weight with HyPERthyroidism without regulating your thyroid with this medication. I literally doubled my weight and the pain of Fibromyalgia intensified because of it. I now take 112mcg once daily and it's important to take this AT LEAST two hours BEFORE other medications for it to work properly.
I'll be curious to see if other Fibromites rate this drug. Every Fibromite I know has this condition, too. You have to take this thyroid medication for the rest of your life -- with or without the Fibromyalgia -- so even if your Fibromyalgia calms down, you'll still need to continue taking this.
PS: I only rated 'Depression' because with my weight now back to normal, I'm no longer depressed by my weight.
