Methadone & fibromyalgia 01/26/14

Methadone was by far the most effective treatment for me. The downside is that it is very addictive and extremely difficult to get off. Attitudes towards it are very negative, I found my doctors uncomfortable prescribing it, some will not. I changed medications eventually, have never found a treatment that gave me the help that it did, not even close.

I started taking 10 Mg once a Day about 4 years ago. I'm down to 5 Mg after taking for 1 year or so. It has helped me so much. I have taken all kinds of pain and muscle relaxers and none of those helped at all. Methadone is a old pain drug but for me has been very helpful. Thank God I have a life again but I still have pain but its no where like it was. You also need to keep the connective tissue in the body loose this will keep the pain down. I also see a chiropractot to keep my nerves from getting pinched and everything in the right position.

A affordable oxycodone alternative 07/25/11

While methadone is much cheaper than other narcotic analgesics, I find it to be less effective than oxycodone.
Methadone helps to take the edge off my pain but that's about it. Be careful though, methadone can have severe
side effects to some but if you need a affordable alternative ask your doc about switching.
