I had an extreme flair (24 months) starting in June of 2010 and by 12/2010 thought I was going to die. Not being able to walk without help, tender spots and points, depression. Everything from Lyrica to Fentanyl (100mcg)was tried till 3/12/2017 when I went into respiratory arrest and almost died. All controlled substances were removed by the prescribing doctor while I was still comatose and he tried to cover the records for his negligence. As a result I had to find a new pain clinic and the fibromyalgia expert placed me on Baclofen, a drug that had never been mentioned in my research or by any other Doctor - it has eliminated my extreme tender spots on my elbows and stopped my overall pain with the exception of my Costochondritis, when was aggravated during the chest compression and CPR, this stuff is a 10 in my book.

Baclofen helps with muscle spasms that you experience in the day without a bad fatigue side effect and helps you sleep during the night if you experience spasms at night.

I have tried many muscle relaxers and have found that Baclofen gives me the best sleep and I am not "groggy" the next day. My pain DR says that he has found that it has helped others although he never prescribed it to me. Found it by accident. Ron
